Jesus presented the Great Commission five times, making evangelism every believer's purpose and privilege. The Evangelism and Church Growth team would like to encourage all believers in that purpose. We are available to assist you and your church in effectively sharing the gospel message to your family, friends, and neighbors.

The Evangelism and Church Growth team is prepared to help train and consult in these areas of evangelism emphasis:

  • THE NET is a mentor-apprentice strategy to equip Christians to share their faith naturally and conversationally by combining their salvation experience with the essential truths of the gospel.
  • G.R.O.W. is an outreach strategy for organizing teams to participate in outreach one night a month through letter writing, phone calls to prospects, personal ministry visits and personal evangelism visits.
  • F.A.I.T.H. is an ongoing, comprehensive evangelism, ministry, and assimilation strategy process that functions through your Sunday School.
  • Share Jesus Without Fear is a training resource that helps believers present Christ in a natural non-threatening way that reduces the pressure and the fear of witnessing.
  • Servanthood Evangelism is intentionally sharing Christ by modeling biblical servanthood. Through acts of kindness the gospel message is portrayed. For more information contact Toby Talley.
  • One Day/One Hour Witness Training is a concise training day used to provide believers with a method of effectively entering a gospel conversation and sharing their faith.
  • Evangecube presents the gospel in a picture form that's easy to explain and understand.
  • Tracts are an effective tool in sharing the gospel, therefore a selection of tracts are available upon request at cost recovery.
  • Evangelism Planner is a CD developed by NAMB to help any church become "intentionally" evangelistic by planning and calendaring for evangelism.
  • Becoming a Contagious Christian evangelism seminar was designed by Bill Hybels to help typical Christians to build relationships with pre-Christians with the goal of sharing their faith. The seminar emphasizes finding a natural witnessing style that works best for each individual. For more information contact Toby Talley.
  • SWCD The goal of Soul-Winning Commitment Day is to encourage believers to select and pray for three lost persons and to look for opportunities to share Christ with them. It’s an opportunity for  churches to focus their members on sharing the gospel.

Youth Evangelism

An evil enemy has launched a brutal attack. Millions of souls are at risk. There is but one hope, and if we fail. . . the youth of our nation could be lost forever!

Witness training, youth worker training, and general youth ministry training are available to Arkansas Baptist churches through the Arkansas Baptist State Convention youth evangelism office. The training is free of charge and is available upon request and as our calendar permits.

Super Summer is a training and learning experience for the young people in your youth group who have already committed their lives to Christ and who are seeking fresh ways to develop their fullest potential as Christian leaders.

Super Summer takes place each year at the end of June on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. A disciplined schedule and focused teaching challenge students to discover the fullest potential of an exciting relationship with Jesus Christ. Super Summer Arkansas is not just another camp, it is an intense week of discipleship and evangelism training for leadership students only.

Super Summer Arkansas is planned, led, and supported by Arkansas Baptist youth ministers. Youth pastors serve as steering committee members, school deans, musicians, JV (Junior Varsity) prime time leaders and seminar teachers. Fun-loving, Christ-honoring college students facilitate students in small group discussions to help every student understand and process Christian leadership principles. Our college staff also leads students through our wild and crazy Super Summer recreation program with special emphasis on team spirit and cooperation. Super Summer recreation is more than games, it is about encouraging and building up participants while having a total blast!

Compared to other nationally known camps, Super Summer remains a bargain at $167 for Senior High and $147 for Junior High Students. The price includes a nationally known speaker and music group, a customized curriculum, a camp, lodging for four or five days, plus all meals. Our motto is “Send us your best, and we will do our best to send them back as better prepared disciples of Christ.” For more information visit the Super Summer Arkansas website at www.supersummerarkansas.com or contact Lindsey Moon.

What are Real Encounter Youth Crusades? Simply put, a Real Encounter Crusade is an event utilizing extreme sports (motocross and skateboarding) to draw students to a rally where a simple, yet effective, gospel presentation is made through powerful drama, relevant music and heartfelt messages. The crusade team also has a great character building presentation for local school assemblies.

The Real Encounter Crusades are a partnership with the Evangelism and Church Growth team of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, Real Encounter Ministries, and local churches and associations to reach students for Jesus Christ. We believe this generation has the potential to complete the Great Commission. Our goal is world evangelization.

Financial support, counselor training support, and event planning support is available from the Youth Evangelism office for Real Encounter Youth Crusades. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or Lindsey Moon for more information.
